10/16/09 - according to records, subscribing via GWLA. Believe that license is an amendment to umbrella GWLA license. Received and paid sub the on 9/03/08 for subscription period
06/23/08-12/31/08. Never received invoice for 2009. DP

NetLibrary File is Damaged

Problem: The problem was first reported on Sunday afternoon for two ebook titles: The Prince of Beverly Hills by Stewart Woods and Missing Persons by Stephen White. When the patron tried to view the page, she received a message “File is damaged and could not be repaired.” This morning we were able to recreate the problem with Missing Persons and take screenshot of the error message (see below). However, since then the problem cannot be recreated, and seems to be resolved.

Archival Issues

4/2/09 user got the message that she had exceeded the concurrent users limit for this database when trying to access an article. Today I was able to get ft of the article. I emailed our Wilson rep to find out how many smu's Auraria Library has purchased. ej

Philosophy Online (Poiesis)

Problem: Problem reported via Bugzilla (http://bugzilla.auraria.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=450). Philosophy Online is not accessible from off campus at it's new IP, http://0-www.philosophyonline.org.skyline.cudenver.edu/
The proxy works for students to login but the database appears not to be recognizing that the student is coming through the proxy URL.

Technical Services Quarterly

Problem: dp doing own research, cannot get fulltext access to article from this title.

8/18/08 Resource "ISI Emerging Markets: Asia" appears in SSJ report. However, there are several duplicate rows for journal titles. I am assuming there is a row for each country of the Asia market. Since the database name was changed to "ISI Emerging Markets: Asia," the customized name appears instead of country name. Not sure if new checkin records will be created or overlayed. DP
8/5/08 There are multiple links on many of the "journals" tracked in the ISI emerging databases. We are doing a test to see what kinds of problems these multiple links may cause. In SerSol we have tracked only the "Asia" market (Cambodia,China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka,Thailand, Vietnam, Australia) as our test group. We have customized all the country database names to ISI Emerging Markets: Asia so we can group them all on one .e record (test of the colon method)
After Aug coverage load, we will check some of the titles. EJ

Cambridge Journals Online

Problem:
1. The Cambridge Journals Online database is connected to the wrong .e record in the ERM (Cambridge Collections Online), because the custom database name in SerSol is Cambridge Collections Online. http://skyline.cudenver.edu:2082/record=e1000009
2. A linking form needs to be sent for Cambridge Journals Online.

3. EJ will initiate a linking form for Cambridge Journals Online. This ft journal database is already activated in SerSol for the journals to which we have access. This is an Alliance deal. EJ

Foresight

Problem: For this journal, Foresight, the entry says "complete and [no links]".

This particular title is available from ISI Emerging Markets - Colombia. Currently testing with Asian countries and untracked ISI Emerging Markets - Complete (No Links). Therefore this title has been deleted until we can find a better way to track it. DP
7/31/08 Heard back from SerSol. They say there are no journal links from the main ISI Emerging Markets database, but there are links from the dozens of separate country ISI databases. TB would like us to get brief bibs for Skyline for the country database content, so I will activate them in SerSol. They will show up in Aug load. EJ
7/31/08 Foresite is an Emerald journal so I notified TB so he can make the decision to subscribe to or not. EJ
7/21/8 Problem verified. DU and UCB claim this in worldcat.org (http://www.worldcat.org/search?q=issn%3A1465-9832&qt=advanced). Also this journal, Foresight, is supposed to be in Proquest as well according to DU's record on Prospector. It is listed on GR as available through Emerald (http://tinyurl.com/5wpwcw) but we can't reach it there either. From Emerald's journal description page:

Wiley Interscience

7/10/08 Wiley is in turmoil for the present, so this is not likely to be resolved for quite some time. GB put a note on the Wiley entry on the ADI page to this effect: "This database does not provide a full text only search nor does it distinguish between which titles Auraria Library owns and which we don't." 7/10/08 At some point the ERS team will need to figure out exactly what we have access to, and track appropriately in SerSol. Our Blackwell titles (ca. 200) are presently only tracked via EJS. EJ

American Institute of Physics journal-level linking syntax domain change

Problem:
The database linking syntax for the ASCE Research library is changing from http://www.pubs.asce.org to http://www.ascelibrary.org.

Problem: 6/26/08 EJ
IF-V reported an access problem with the Haworth journal Journal of Social Service Research. http://skyline.cudenver.edu/record=b2157085
A student was trying to get this article through EJS: 30(1): 1-17. Sept. 2003 "National and regional differences among runaway youth using federally-fuded crisis services by Sanna Thompson. When one chooses "Open in new window" on the EJS interface, very slowly you are taken to page where you are instructed to pay for the article ." The same thing happens to other articles that I chose at random, so it's not just this one article. There is no access either on the Haworth publisher website.
I "think" we have a subscription to this journal, but the III record doesn't show any payment. Another complicating factor is that Haworth was bought by T&F, and if you go to the T&F website (Informaworld), there is a note that this journal will be coming soon. I have a feeling that there may be similar issues with other Haworth publications also.
