Problem: 6/26/08 EJ
IF-V reported an access problem with the Haworth journal Journal of Social Service Research. http://skyline.cudenver.edu/record=b2157085
A student was trying to get this article through EJS: 30(1): 1-17. Sept. 2003 "National and regional differences among runaway youth using federally-fuded crisis services by Sanna Thompson. When one chooses "Open in new window" on the EJS interface, very slowly you are taken to page where you are instructed to pay for the article ." The same thing happens to other articles that I chose at random, so it's not just this one article. There is no access either on the Haworth publisher website.
I "think" we have a subscription to this journal, but the III record doesn't show any payment. Another complicating factor is that Haworth was bought by T&F, and if you go to the T&F website (Informaworld), there is a note that this journal will be coming soon. I have a feeling that there may be similar issues with other Haworth publications also. One other Haworth journal that I can think of is Journal of Library Administration. http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/116159480-30367397/title~content=t792306968~db=all
Assigned to: dz,
Priority: medium
Status: in progress
Summary of solution: to be determined
Troubleshooting notes:
7/31/08 Even using the Haworth Press link instead of the EJS link, we don't have ft access, even though we started a subs for 2008. Don't know if it's worth following up on or not. http://0-www.haworthpress.com.skyline.cudenver.edu/store/E-Text/ViewLibraryEText.asp?s=J079&m=0 DV, it's your call. EJ
7/31/08 We've given up on the EJS-to-Haworth links, and untracked them in SerSol. We tracked our 54 subs under the Haworth Press Journals. These will show up in Skyline in mid Aug load. EJ
