Troubleshooting notes:
8/29/08 Ser Sol fixed problem. Confirmed in Sept coverage load. dp
8/18/08 Serials Solutions still working on question submitted on 7/29/08, no further update. Title is unchanged in August load. dp
7/29/08 Submitted question to Serials Solutions: We are tracking the database "OpticsInfoBase" and the journal Applied Optics (2004), ssj0035497 and ISSN 1559-128X. However, the Marc Record for this title has an "-OT" in the 245 field. We do not see "-OT" referenced anywhere on the database. Therefore, we do not think it is necessary to have "-OT" and would like it removed. Is this possible? - dp
7/29/08 Activated this title and other OSA titles in the database OpticsInfoBase (16 0f 25 titles added) see word doc "Titles tracked untracked in SerSol" on I drive (ERS—EbscoElectronicJournalService—SerSol_Track) EJ
7/21/08 Verified correct ISSN 1559-128X(online) is coverage load file. DP
7/2/08 EJ SerSol has moved the EJS access from the issn 0003-6935(print) entry to the issn 1559-128X(online) entry. In order to keep our EJS link , we have to track under ISSN 1559-128x in SerSol. This bib record http://skyline.cudenver.edu/record=b2043089 should be deleted after the July load. Customized the date to show our holdings as 1962-date.
6/25/08 EJ, can you untrack Applied optics (2004) with ISSN 1559-128X and track Applied Optics with ISSN 0003-6935? Thanks DP
6/25/08 Made link available to EJS from Applied Optics with ISSN 0003-6935. Changed 856 from n to y. See http://skyline.cudenver.edu/record=b2043089 DP

Question for DP &DZ, In III, we have our order record on the 0003-6935(print) record, and with July load this record (ssj0012869) will go away, because it is no longer tracked in SerSol. Seems like the order record should be shifted over to the new record which will be coming in the July load? Or do ssj records with order records attached, get put on the delete list, and we will catch it then? EJ
ReplyDeleteAt this time, I do not think we should move order records to SSJ records. However if an order record is on a SSJ record and that record needs to be deleted, cataloging will ask us to transfer the record before deleting. In this case, for Applied Optics, I think the order record should stay on b20430899. DP
