7/13/08
1. emailed user a work-around--on the EJS page click on "Available on Publisher's Site: 2002 - 2008". EJ
2. The additional issue here is that we get this through our University of Chicago journal package, but there is no Chicago link on the bib record. The Chicago journals were tracked in SerSol on 3/5/08, and still indicate they are tracked in EJS. DP--could this be something with the coverage load/deletion file?

07/14/08 U of Chicago Press journals were put through the linking form by ej last week. Testing showed the pdfs larger than 350 kB (like the Jstor pdfs) are usually unavailable from off campus ... though the full text link seems to be fine. Checked Isis this am and it seems to be doing the same thing. GB
ReplyDelete7/14/08 That's right-- the pdf problem is another issue with the Univ of Chicago Press.
ReplyDeleteFor DP: EJ sent the linking form on 5/9/08 with a note "database is already activated in SerSol, but needs a .e record, so the journals will have a link on the bib records." There is no .e record yet, so that probably explains why we don't have the bib records for all the journals. EJ
6/12/08 DP created a .e record before June coverage load. However, the record was suppressed. As of 7/16/08 record is displaying with coverage of 45 U of Chicago Press titles, including Isis. dp
