Problem: SciFinder Scholar is moving to a web based interface. It isn't working with the III proxy server link though it seems to work without the rewrite.
The proxy login works fine but once in .. the welcome screen says "An unexpected error has occurred" and stops dead. Sometimes however the license agreement page appears and then when accept is chosen it again stops dead.

7/14/09 - Database has been marked on campus use.
3/13/09 - Contacts with CAS have said an 'unexpected error' usually means the CAS server has lost contact with the browser for no known reason. CAS said the proxy server must support https transactions. Also that if the proxy server is attempting to cache the transactions, that will disrupt the secure traffic (https transactions).
CAS will look at their server log for the login made this morning, March 13, 2009 somewhere between 8 and 8:30 am. It probably won't be until Monday before CAS responds. CSA requests that someone 'here' look at the server log for that time as well for clues.
