Problem:
KH reported a few problems to me last week. I noticed a couple of them were Haworth titles. These are EJS titles too:
Social Work with Groups
J. of GLBT Family Studies
I'm concerned that more of our Haworth titles don't have access. I've contacted Ebsco & Mozhdeh about this. We have about 60 Haworth titles. They will be part of Taylor & Francis and moving to http://www.informaworld.com/ starting in 2009. I will be cancelling these with Ebsco & we should be getting them direct with T&F.
Assigned to: EJ & DP
Priority: medium
Status: in progress
Summary of solution: to be determined
Troubleshooting notes:
8/20/08 In Ser Sol, able to untrack from Ebsco EJS and track in Haworth. Able to access full-text. However, coverage data looks incorrect. DP
8/19/08 Receiving 502 Bad gateway error message. DP
7/31/08 We've given up on the EJS-to-Haworth links, and untracked them in SerSol. We tracked our 54 subs under the Haworth Press Journals. These will show up in Skyline in mid Aug load. EJ

ReplyDeleteHere is the latest from SERIALST:
ReplyDeleteDear Serialst,
Thank you for your continued patience whilst we resolve the issues you have been experiencing with the Haworth Press site. Further to my email yesterday I wanted to give you an update on how we are working to improve the site for you.
Migration to informaworld:
Over the coming months we will be migrating all Haworth content to informaworld and will keep everyone posted on progress. We have set up a website at www.informaworld.com/haworth which will be updated with information during the migration.
Site Speed:
Network technicians were able to correct a configuration problem yesterday in the connection between Haworth's servers and the service provider. This has resulted in site speeds which are around 40 times faster than users had been experiencing. We are continuing to investigate other issues that might be affecting site speed and will resolve any problems that we find as part of this process.
